Hemp fabric!!!
Hemp fabric is 5 times stronger than cotton.
A great variety of clothing made with hemp is already available (and a lot of it is used by the army). It is possible to make all kinds of fabrics with hemp; strong and rough hemp fabric (like flax) or strong and smooth (like silk).
By a process called retting, hemp needs no whitening agent, reducing pollution. In the United States, 12 lakes are unusable because of the whitening agents (chlorine) used for cotton.
Hemp needs no pesticides or weedkiller to grow. Cotton on the other hand uses about 250,000 tons of pesticides annually (see Hemp ; educating and harvesting).
